Thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that will shed years off your face immediately, without the downtime of a traditional surgery : we only advise you a four days rest.
To tighten your skin, we can, to some extent, redefine the contours of your face and correct sagging jowls by reshaping and contouring your face with threads : this procedure will leave you with a more youthful look, just sit back and enjoy the process.
The technique can also be used to lift the tail of the eyebrow and bring back the freshness of your eyes.
What’s the procedure ?
Loss of skin elasticity on the face and neck areas are often the consequence of intense past sun exposure or heavy smoking habits.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue tightening may require the use of dermal fillers, particularly in areas such as the mandibular line or jawline, where there is a progressive loss of the face’s oval shape along with the formation of sagging jowls, nasolabial folds between the corners of the lips and the nose or the cheeks. This jawline contouring process may be performed in a multi-stage protocol, with a 45-day interval, using collagen injections or Radiesse dermal-filler.
In some cases, a faster procedure with long-lasting results between 1 and 2 years may be preferred, using RADIESSE injections.
As we age, the fatty tissue in our face moves downwards to the lower face resulting in the appearance of jowls and loose skin on the jawline.
A PDO Jawline thread lift places threads across the jawline allowing us to lift and tighten the area to give a more sculpted, youthful appearance. Placement takes just half an hour and is performed under local anesthesia; there is no scarring. The areas treated are the nasolabial folds, the bitterness folds below the corner of the lips, the jowls and the oval of the face.
The results are usually visible for eighteen months, avoiding the usual post-operative hassles usually associated with surgical facelifts.
However, please note that smoking and blood-thinning treatments should be avoided beforehand.
What is a thread ?
Threads used for non-invasive facelifts are absorbable surgical systems that form a genuine mesh around the face, aimed at repositioning the volumes while stimulating collagen production, particularly on the jowls and oval of the face. Anchoring points are located at cheekbone level or it could be, following a different technique, in the temporal region using PLCL threads. The lasting power of a thread facelift is around 18 months. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes around 30 to 40 minutes.
